The tech giant's latest doodle available through its main search page celebrates the Savoy Ballroom and swing dancing with a rhythm game where players tap keys to the beat of popular songs from the swing era.
The game shows two characters dancing, along with letters representing keys on the keyboard. In its first level, a musical note bounces around to the tune of "Let's Call The Whole Thing Off" by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.
As the note nears each letter, it pulses to signal users to tap the right key to the beat.
According to a biography posted by Google, the Savoy Ballroom was open in New York City's Harlem neighborhood between the 1920s and 1950s. When it opened in 1926, it became one of the first racially integrated public spaces in the United States.
The ballroom hosted iconic jazz musicians including Fitzgerald and Count Basie. It also was the birthplace of the Lindy Hop.
